We have had a really exciting tournament unfolding over the last couple of weeks and it’s been a really welcome opportunity to take a look at some of the emerging talent in the world of European football. A number of the countries involved will definitely be proud of the players emerging through their youth ranks and it remains to be anybody’s guess as to who is actually going to win the tournament.

It appears as though the Italian U21 side are currently considered to be the betting favourites for this contest and you’ll find the bookmakers pricing them around a 2/1 margin at the time of this writing. As we head away from the group stages and into the knockout rounds you can assume that we are going to start seeing some of the bigger sides come under more pressure.

The French U21 side are looking like a solid wager as well and they are priced just a short step behind the Italians with a listing of around 3/1 with several top bookmakers. They have some great young players emerging and they have been able to handle most of their competition with the exception of the English U21 side yesterday.

The German Under 21 side are also a really competitive group and they have the organization and pace that it takes to make top teams sweat.
