Europa League Final Betting Update

We have the final round of the Europa League set to unfold today with Inter Milan taking on Sevilla in a contest that really could prove to be a masterpiece from a tactician’s perspective as a pair of wiley managers look to get the edge on each other here.

There is a lot to like about the way that the match is setting up in regards to the betting odds and it looks as though the bookmakers clearly favour the Italian side to get the better of the Spanish team and lift the trophy at the end of the contest. You can expect this one to be nip and tuck in the 1st half and likely open up considerably in the 2nd half.

Inter can be backed prior to the match at around a 5/4 price for the victory within 90 minutes of play. Sevilla are trading around a general 23/10 with most major bookmakers while the draw - which would see us go through to extra time and possibly penalties - trades at a 5/2 price tag pre-match.

Neither side will want to concede the first goal and, even though both sides have plenty of firepower, you can expect them to put the early focus on remaining organized and getting men behind the ball. Romelu Lukaku has an interesting opportunity to match or even beat Ronaldo’s record of goals in a debut season at Inter and he’s priced as the outright favourite to score the opening goal with bookmakers going as high as a 5/4 margin on Lukaku to notch the first strike of the match.

Inter can be backed at a direct price of 4/6 to lift the trophy by any method and this includes 90 minutes, extra-time or penalties being the outcome for the Italian side. You can back Sevilla at a best price of 27/20 and that looks like a solid price tag if you fancy the Spanish side to stifle the Italians early on.
