EUROVISION 2010 SECOND SEMI FINAL LATEST ODDS AND BETTING TIPS
There’s some fairly heavy volume today on the Betfair markets as we are about to see the second semi final for 2010 Eurovision kick off. In my opinion, today is a more pivotal day for the Eurovision betting markets than the previous semi final as we’ll see a performance from current betting favourite Safura Alizadeh from Azerbaijan.
If you think she is going to dominate tonight’s competition, you can secure a really solid price as she can be backed at around 2.9. She is listed at a high price of 2.82 to win the competition outright so if you reckon her performance will be solid today then you should definitely back her to take the second semi final winners position.
As it currently stands, Armenia look like the chief competition with their listing of 6.4 for Eva Rivas. Israel’s Hareld Skaat could be the big spoiler tonight and you’ll find him priced at 9.0.
Turkey are the only other country listed at single digit odds and I expect them to be above 10.0 once this evenings competition actually kicks off. maNga, Turkey’s entrant, is trading at around 9.6 right now but will likely struggle to overcome Alizadeh.
Sweden are priced at 11.0 while Denmark are trading at around 16.0 and not seeing a huge amount of volume. Ireland are at 21.0 to win the second semi final while Croatia are listed at 21.0.
The top 3 betting market is much more open with Azerbaijan at 1.55 and Armenia at 1.9. Turkey are listed at 2.22 while Sweden trade at 2.64. Israel are just a shade behind at 2.66 while Ireland is priced at 5.4 and Croatia at 5.8.
There is also a market for qualification betting but the prices aren’t particularly generous for most of the entrants. The only countries that are not at odds-on priced are Cyrpus at 2.4, Lithuania at 2.64, Bulgaria and Switzerland at 7.0, the Netherlands at 9.8 and Slovenia at a 23.0 price to qualify.
I think the price on Safura Alizadeh is definitely overlaid and this is a prime betting opportunity.
