Eurovision Song Contest betting update
Bookies William Hill are for the first time, hoping that the UK get a good showing in this years Eurovision song contest with Hill's set to lose £45,000 should the UK entrant Scooch get 'Nil points' in the finals for which they offer 16/1 from 25/1. Hill's rate the UK as 25/1 outsiders to win the competition, pushed out from 16/1 and have three joint favourites Switzerland, Sweden and Serbia at 6/1. "We have accepted more money on Scooch failing to receive a single point than we have for them to win the Eurovision, punters are convinced that the UK are in for another poor result," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.William Hill Latest Eurovision Prices: 6/1 Switzerland, 6/1 Sweden, 6/1 Serbia, 7/1 Belarus, 10/1 Ukraine, 10/1 Bulgaria, 12/1 Russia, 14/1 Greece, 14/1 Cyprus, 25/1 United Kingdom, 25/1 Slovenia, 25/1 Malta, 25/1 Denmark, 33/1 Romania, 33/1 Israel, 33/1 Bosnia-Herzegovina, 40/1 TurkeyEurovision Specials:4/1 2007 Terry Wogan's last year as presenter6/1 UK to win in the next five years12/1 UK to come last16/1 UK entrant to receive 'Nil Point' Get a free bet on the Eurovision song contest 2007 with Paddypower.com
