EVERTON VS NEWCASTLE GOALSCORER BETTING: ANDY CARROLL AND YAKUBU ARE FAVOURITES

Everton don't have much striking power available for this one so expect their midfielders to have to step into the attack more frequently. Yakubu is trading at an even money price to score in the match while Tim Cahill remains a great anytime bet at 5/4 listing.
Marouane Fellaini is trading at 2/1 while Mikel Arteta's odds to score against Newcastle are priced at 11/4. Steven Pienaar has looked in solid form recently and he's available at 10/3.
Should the match wind up being particularly close, the deciding goal might come from a set-piece and backing defenders to not that goal can be especially profitable. Phil Jagielka is trading at 8/1 anytime and a massive 25/1 first or last. Leighton Baines is listed at 12/1 anytime and 33/1 first or last.
Andy Carroll's odds to score will be of interest as the English striker is emerging as one of the early stories of the season. He's priced at 2/1 anytime and that puts him well ahead of Kevin Nolan and Shola Ameobi, who are both trading at 7/2.
It's interesting that Carroll and Yakubu are the betting favourites and it's a sign of just how much the midfields are expected to be the difference here. Yakubu can play some underwhelming stuff from time to time and it looks like Everton will run a 4-5-1 and try to get two central midfielders tucked in behind him. He'll be looking to poach the goals today, but you can expect Fellaini and Cahill to do the bulk of the heavy lifting, along with Arteta.
Andy Carroll is more of a player who can make his own chances and you reckon there will be a number of punters with large bets on him to score here.
Everton have more individual talent, but this one could really be defined by the side that manages toget on the scoresheet first. The Toffees should pull it off, but Newcastle's up-and-down record lately may make this fixture one that favours the in-play punters.
