FA Cup Betting Preview PT 1

We had some really solid FA Cup action unfold on Tuesday - not the least of which was the incredible West Ham vs Everton fixture that will surely go down as one of the best fixtures of the season. A penalty shoot-out that saw the goalkeepers prove to be decisive - but not in the way that one would usually think - proved to be the key factor and it was great entertainment all around.

Looking at the Wednesday fixtures, we have three contest happening - two of which involve Premier League teams while Friday will see Manchester United taking on minnows Cambridge United in a match that will definitely be a big moment for the smaller side. We’ll be taking a look at each of the matches to day and previewing the Friday fixture to get a better idea of how things might shape up.

Bradford vs Millwall kicks off slightly earlier than the other matches and we’ve got the host side trading as the solid 5/4 favourites for this one. Bradford have done well to keep moving forward this season and they will be up against it taking on a Millwall side that can get victories on the road.

As it currently stands, you’ll find Millwall trading at an 11/5 margin while the draw sits at a 12/5 price tag. It’s a fairly even contest all around and is great for bettors and neutral fans, alike. Expect the first goal to prove crucial here and a half-time scoreline of 0-0 might be a very good indication that these teams will be taking a cagey approach throughout, so you might want to wait until half-time to drop a wager on the outright draw, which would see us through to extra time or penalties.

Ipswich Town face off against Southampton in a match that will likely attract some pretty significant pre-match volume on the Premier League upstarts. Now competing for a Champions League spot and firmly in third place behind Chelsea and Manchester City, the south coasters will be looking to keep moving forward with another good performance here. Ronald Koeman’s side know what they are doing and they can grind out wins anywhere.
