FA Cup Betting Tips and Preview Part 2

Wigan Athletic are also trading at odds-on to get a result against Bournemouth. The Latics are at 4/5 for the win and that might be fairly easy money if they can conjure up some of their recent performances. Wigan generally tend to get good around this time of year and Bournemouth are 16/5 for a reason. The draw doesn’t really entice at 11/4 as Wigan will either win this one easily or get hammered 5-0 or something like that.

Stoke are away to Crystal palace and are getting a slim edge from the bookmakers. You’ll find Tony Pulis’ men available at 6/4 for the win while Crystal Palace are the 2/1 second choice despite lining up at home. The draw is also priced at 2/1 and you do have to reckon this one might be ripe for a replay. Stoke can get results but Crystal Palace play a style relatively similar to the Potters and it’s going to be a battle all the way down to the end.

Reading face a very similar scenario to Stoke as they are away to Crawley Town and go in as the 6/4 away favourite. Crawley can be backed at 2/1 and the draw at an identical price - get creative with this one as it might be a tricky one to size up from the outset. Punters will likely opt for in-play wagers on this match.

Norwich are away to Peterborough and go in as the 6/5 favourites to get the victory while the hosts can be backed at 12/5. There’s a lot to like about the way Norwich are playing at the moment and this one would be a real disappointment if they failed to get the result.

QPR and West Brom face off in an all-Premier League match with QPR getting the slim edge from the bookmakers with a 6/4 price tag out there at the moment. West Brom are 19/10 and might be able to do enough to get the result. QPR have all sorts of issues right now but have pulled off a big result recently. Look for them to try to continue that good fortune as they push on in the new year - admittedly, the FA Cup isn’t a priority for them though.

West Ham are in the middle of locking down some new signings in the January transfer window and there’s going to be a slightly different version of the side lining up here. You’d think that these are the right types of moves that West Ham need and they’ll have a great opportunity to prove their proficiency as they take on Manchester United at Upton Park. United are in a rich vein of form and trade as the 3/4 favourites while West Ham can be backed at 4/1 for the win. A replay would pay out at 12/5 and that’s not entirely out of the question.

VERDICT: United x West Brom x Stoke @ 11.5/1
