FA CUP QUARTER FINALS CORRECT SCORE PREDICTIONS
After Man United solidified a seven point lead with a game in hand in the Premier League during midweek, you get the feeling that Liverpool and Chelsea may be looking upon the FA Cup as their only silverware salvation this year. Luckily enough for them, they've both somehow managed to draw Championship opposition which should certainly make progress a bit easier- or so it would seam. I think we're going to be in for at least one surprise this weekend, and I think there's a number of ways to capitalize on this weekend's FA Cup action. Coventry- Chelsea: Guus Hiddink seems to have brought some much-needed steel to the Chelsea team and I'm confident he'll field a full-strength side in this match. Chelsea have missed the likes of Joe Cole and Michael Essien this year, but they have been grinding out results since the departure of Luis Felipe Scolari. I think Coventry are hoping for a serious cupset, but I think it will take a very poor Chelsea performance in tandem with Coventry giving 110% and finding some bounces along the way. A draw isn't completely out of the question, but I'm leaning towards a 2-0 victory for Chelsea which pays 5/1 at totesport. Fulham-Man Utd: Manchester United are this year's Champions-elect barring a turn-around for the ages. That doesn't mean they're completely out of the woods for the FA Cup though, but I'm confident that Man United have the ability to beat Fulham rather handily. This match is testament to just how far Roy Hodgson's men have come since he's taken the helm and they've gone from perennial relegation candidates to established mid-table side. I think United will be firing on all cylinders here and will prove to be too much for Fulham. United 3-1 is the final score, but Fulham will push them all the way. You're looking at 12/1 with totesport. Arsenal-Burnley: This will be the upset of the weekend. Burnley know how to win a cup tie against top teams and they will out to frustrate an Arsenal team that just don't look like world beaters at the moment. I think this is one of the best times in recent years to be facing up against Arsene Wenger's side and I'm confident that Burnley will be with a draw at least. The first goal here is absolutely crucial and this one may be a serious money-maker for the in-play wagerers. Either way, I'm going out on a limb and backing a 0-0 draw at 12/1 with totesport. Everton-Middlesbrough: Middlesbrough are a deplorably inconsistent team that lacks a proven goalscorer. Everton are one of the pluckiest teams in Europe, let alone the Premier League and they know how to get a result out of nearly every fixture. They are simply too good for Middlesbrough and I'm expecting a workman-like performance from David Moyes & Co. 2-0 to the Toffees pays 6/1 with totesport.
