FA CUP SIXTH ROUND BETTING TIPS
Since Manchester United's epic victory in the Carling Cup at the weekend, attention is now being paid towards the outcome of England's next major cup tournament. As anticipated, Manchester United lead the outright betting over at Victor Chandler with odds sitting at 7/4. Chelsea are listed at 5/2 while Arsenal can be backed in the neighbourhood of 5/1. I don't think we'll see Championship sides in the final and I'm also quite confident that United will have what it takes to go the distance. Considering some other bookmakers have already paid out on United to win the cup, it remains to be seen whether Fergie's boys can really come through when necessary. Getting through Fulham away will be their first task and I'm confident that United should be able to do the job, albeit with an under-strength side. Chelsea will also be looking to rest players going into their fixture against Coventry and with plans of still competing for this year's Premier League title, I expect the Blues to give chances to a number of young players. This looks like a Michael Mancienne fixture if I've ever seen one. Arsenal will take on perennial cup contenders Burnley and Everton face a tricky tie against Middlesbrough, who appear to have finally found their goal-scoring form after an extended hiatus. Everton are listed at 6/1 to win the FA Cup and United could very well come up against them in the final which would be an altogether tasty encounter. This weekend I am backing United to go through, Chelsea to go through, Burnley to beat Arsenal and Everton and Middlesbrough to draw.
