Fallon new favourite for Ballydoyle hot-seat

Six times UK champion jockey Kieran Fallon is the new favourite to step into the Ballydoyle hot-seat as first jockey to the powerful Aidan O'Brien/Coolmore camp. That's according to leading betting exchange Betfair, where punters can set their own odds and bet against other customers instead of a traditional bookmaker. Fallon, who has ridden for the Ballydoyle camp before on an ad hoc basis, has replaced Darryll Holland and Johnny Murtagh at the top of the betting list and at the time of writing was available to back at 3.5 (5/2). Murtagh and Holland were available at 4.0 (3/1) and 6.0 (5/1) respectively. 'There has been a definite move for Fallon today and punters look like they have turned off Darryll Holland completely, having backed him at a low of 1.21 only a couple of days ago. We have seen three individual favourites on this market now and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it flip flopped again over the weekend', said Betfair spokesperson Georgina Hard.
