FERNANDO TORRES ODDS DROP TO 5/1 FOR MANCHESTER CITY TRANSFER

Liverpool's start to the English Premier League season, their first one in a few years without Rafa Benitez at the helm, has been decidedly underwhelming and you can understand why rumours are beginning to circulate that the clubs top players are itching for the exit door. 
The intensity surrounding a potential transfer for Fernando Torres was ratcheted up today as the Daily Star confirmed that Manchester City are set to table a mammoth £50m bid for the signature of the young Spaniard. 
The Liverpool talisman is supposedly upset with the club's recent fortunes and anybody who has kept a close eye on the Anfield side over the past few matches will agree that Torres simply isn't putting in 100% effort. 
Clearly demoralized, Torres may be heading for the exit in January and you have to wonder whether a club that isn't exactly on the most solid financial footing would be able to turn down an over-the-top bid from Eastlands. 
Skybet remains lukewarm on the move at this point, pricing Fernando Torres at a 5/1 price to complete a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window. 
Out of all the potential clubs, City is considered the most likely destination while a reunion with Rafa Benitez could also be a likely outcome with a move to Inter trading at an 8/1 price tag. 
A Torres move to Barcelona is priced at 10/1 while a move to Real Madrid is available at 14/1.
