FLOYD MAYWEATHER VS SHANE MOSLEY LATEST ODDS

We’re hearing some pretty harsh words being thrown around in the build up to the Floyd Mayweather vs “Sugar” Shane Mosley bout on May 1st. Understandably, Mayweather comes into the fight as a very short-priced favourite with popular bookmaker BET365 listing him at a 2/9 price for the outright victory. Shane Mosley to win by any method is paying out at a very solid 3/1.

The odds are so skewed in favour of Floyd Mayweather to win via decision that the over/under on rounds is set at 11.5 in a 12 round fight. If you think the fight is going to be over 11.5 rounds then you’ve got a microscopic 2/7 payout while the fight ending at any point before the end of the 12th round pays out at 5/2.
The odds on Floyd Mayweather winning by decision are trading at 4/7 with a Mayweather KO, TKO or DQ victory rewarding at 4/1. If Shane Mosley can pull off a shock victory (and some boxing observers are planning to do so) you’re looking at 11/2 for the decision and a full 7/1 should he win by KO, TKO or corner stoppage. A draw or technical draw at any point is at 20/1, but save your money because that doesn’t really happen at this level.
If you do think that Mayweather or Mosley have the ability to knock each other out, then you are definitely looking at some tidy prices. Mayweather to win the fight between rounds 1-3 pays out at 22/1 while rounds 4-6 pay 16/1. Rounds 7-9 pay out at a solid 12/1 and a 10-12 round victory rewards at a 14/1 listing. Mosley is 25/1 to win in rounds 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9 before dropping to 18/1 for a 10-12 round win.
The individual round betting shows that Mayweather’s preferred rounds are 9 and 10, which are both listed at 25/1 while 8 and 11 pay out at 28/1. Round 7 pays 30/1 with 5, 6 and 12 at 33/1. Rounds 3 or 4 pay out at 40/1 and a first round victory pays 60/1.
Shane Mosley is at 66/1 for a first-round victory while he is priced at 50/1 for rounds 2-9. He is 40/1 for a win in rounds 10, 11 or 12.
