Football betting: Champions League on Tuesday
Having already lost to Fernerbahce in their opening Champions League group game Inter Milan know that the visit of the Istanbul giants will be no walk in the San Siro on Tuesday night and the Nerazzurri will certainly settle for a point against Zico's men in Milan. Inter won 2-1 against Atalanta on Saturday night thanks to goals by David Suazo and Julio Cruz in a hard-fought victory that bore further proof that Roberto Mancini has at his disposal one of the strongest squads in Europe. Mancini, whose side are once again setting the pace in Serie A, rested star player Zlatan Ibrahimovic for all but 13 minutes of Saturday's win, and his side are leading the way in Italy despite injuries to Luis Figo, Marco Materazzi, Patrick Vieira and Dejan Stankovic. Bet on the Champions League with Paddy Power now Fenerbahce, who lie a point behind Inter in Champions League Group G and three ahead of PSV Eindhoven, are not a side to be underestimated, however. Having already beaten the Italian champions on Matchday 1 they know that a repeat performance will see them qualify for the Champions League knockout rounds and that a draw will probably suffice. The Turks will be full of confidence following their 4-2 win against Ankaraspor at the weekend and in Roberto Carlos, Stephen Appiah, Kazim-Kazim, Mateja Kezman and Alex - scorer of a hat-trick at the weekend - have players more than capable of securing the point that will suit both sides. In the same group - and beware the early 17:30 kick-off - third-placed PSV Eindoven need a win at rock-bottom CSKA Moscow to keep their Champions League qualifying prospects alive but, despite a morale-boosting 4-1 win at Excelsior Rotterdam on Saturday, will find the Muscovite outfit a tough nut to crack. England fans know only too well how hard it is to take on Russians in their own back yard and with coach Valeri Gazzaev eager to qualify for the Uefa Cup he won in 2005 by finishing third the home side, who have had over two weeks off, will not lie down easily. In Vagner Love and Jo, who both scored against Inter Milan last time out, CSKA boast a lethal strike force who, with the likes of AC Milan and Manchester United in need of a top striker, like to impress in the shop window of Europe's premier competition. PSV, by contrast, are in disarray following the departure of coach Ronald Koeman and will miss the influence of their experienced captain Timmy Simons in freezing cold Moscow. Elsewhere on Tuesday, take Stuttgart to overcome Rangers in Germany. The Bundesliga champions have endured a miserable European campaign and have yet to score a Champions League point but have found their feet in the form of five consecutive league wins, including the recent 3-1 defeat of Bayern Munich. They won 4-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday and are great value with Paddy Power to upset the Gers at 5/4.
