Football betting: Champions Lg - AC Milan vs Arsenal

In the words of Sir Alex Ferguson, it's squeaky bum time. This week seven of the eight Champions League quarter-finalists will make it through to the latter stages of the competition and with most of the ties delicately-poised it is far from easy to identify the chosen few. Not since Tommy Lee decided to take a boating weekend with a magnum of champagne, a video camera and Pamela Anderson have we been treated to such a mouth-watering spread. Celtic go to Barcelona, Manchester United host Lyon, Roma travel to Real Madrid and Chelsea welcome Olympiakos. The pick of the lot, is Arsenal's ongoing tussle with AC Milan and the Gunners will probably never have a better chance of beating the Rossoneri on Tuesday. The fact that Emmanuel Adebayor hasn't quite got over heading against the bar from two yards in the last minute of the home leg, has been borne out by his failure to score since, but despite the Tongan's new-found barren patch, the injury to Eduardo and a stuttering league campaign, Milan's problems are far worse than their London counterparts. The Italians have drawn five of their last six matches, are in serious danger of missing out on fourth place in Serie A and have a number of walking wounded in their midst. Alessandro Nesta, Paolo Maldini, Andrea Pirlo and Kaka are all carrying knocks, sat out Saturday's draw with Lazio and have been patched up to face the comparatively sprightly Gunners at the San Siro. Clarence Seedorf strained a thigh against Lazio and may well miss out. Arsenal's title drive has hit a bump in the road and they were flat in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday but they will be raring to have a run at the ageing Rossoneri rearguard, which required all of its experienced and no small slice of good fortune to keep the Gunners at bay at the Emirates. The problem for the Premier League leaders, though, is that the goals have started to dry up and Theo Walcott and Aleksander Hleb are no substitute for an out-of-sorts Adebayor when it comes to hitting the onion bag. Milan have been dreadful in the league but have proved time and time again that they can go up a gear or two in Europe - in the last six years they have never fared worse than reaching the quarter-finals. Filippo Inzaghi knows all about what it takes to score in this competition - he rattled off a record-breaking 63rd European goal against Celtic on Matchday 6 and he won't need many opportunities as Arsenal created in the first leg, to add to that tally. The Gunners though won 5-1 on their last visit to San Siro, albeit against Inter Milan, and more importantly achieved the 0-0 they required at Juventus two seasons ago. They need a score draw to go through but it won't be easy to get past an in-form Zeljko Kalac. This one could go to extra-time - where Arsenal's superior fitness could win through.
