Football betting: weekend fivefold
Arsenal can recover from the disappointment of their 1-1 draw against Newcastle on Wednesday with another win in the north east against Middlesbrough in Setanta's live game on Sunday. Click here for a free £30 to play with on Paddy Power Poker Although light on numbers, Arsene Wenger's injury-fraught squad simply have too much quality for a Boro side struggling at the wrong end of the Premier League table. The Gunners missed Cesc Fabregas, Aleksandr Hleb and Mathieu Flamini at St James's Park but Wenger will be grateful that his injury crisis has not coincided with a match against a title rival (although Chelsea await next Sunday) and 1/2 is a value price for the unbeaten Premier league leaders. In-form Liverpool will be relishing taking on Reading on Saturday, even if they do have half an eye on their crunch Uefa Champions League trip to Marseille on Tuesday. Reading have only won twice in nine games and those victories came against Newcastle and Derby, while the Reds' fantastic form has seen them win five successive matches, scoring 21 goals against Besiktas, Fulham, Newcastle, Porto and Bolton. Even if Rafa Benitez does tinker with his side, this is a real away banker. In Italy Inter Milan (2/9), Juventus (4/11) and Udinese (10/11) can all be expected to seal home wins against Torino, Atalanta and Udinese. Inter are simply unstoppable at present, their 3-0 win against Lazio on Wednesday being described by the sensational Esteban Cambiasso as "close to perfection". The Nerazzurri have already qualified for the next round of the Champions League and so will field a full strength side against lowly Torino. Juventus are the highest-scoring side in Europe at present and have returned seamlessly to the Italian top flight on the back of David Trezeguet's relentless goalscoring. The Frenchman has netted eleven Serie A goals already and, along with Vincenzo Iaquinta, whom Claudio Ranieri prefers to Alessandro Del Piero in the Bianconeri attack, can expect to wreak more havoc against Atalanta, in spite of the visitors' random 5-1 defeat of Napoli last week. Watch the game live on Sunday on Channel Five. Udinese's dizzying ascent to second in the table was halted by Roma last weekend but the Friulani nonetheless gave the club from the capital a run for their money in that 2-1 defeat. The hosts have a fantastic young side and a lethal strike-force of Davide Di Natale and Fabio Quagliarella that can be trusted to bring them their eighth home win of the campaign against a Sampdoria side who, though decent, have embarrassing away form. Siena and Cagliari have been their only victims on the road this term. Verdict: 2pts fivefold on Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus, Inter and Udinese @ 6.5/1 (Paddy Power); 3pts fourfold on Liverpool, Juventus, Inter and Udinese @ 4/1 (Paddy Power).
