FRANCE VS MEXICO 2ND HALF LIVE BETTING TIPS
It was a fairly open first half and both teams helped themselves to a handfull of chances but there were no real breakthroughs to be had in the opening 45 minutes. France remain favourites to win the match, but the odds on a draw are starting to shorten considerably as the time ticks by.
Popular UK bookmaker Ladbrokes is currently offering prices of 2.25 for France and a 3.5 listing for Mexico. It's interesting that Frances price has increased ever so slightly while Mexico has actually dropped. They were priced at 4.0 pre-match.
The draw is available at a 2.7 price and that looks increasingly like that could be how things pan out. Both teams are lacking a lethal finish and I would expect to see Thierry Henry on the field for France shortly after the second half starts.
Nicolas Anelka is an excellent player, but when he's not firing on all cylinders he can be a frustrating striker to watch. Franck Ribery hasn't really gotten anything going on either and it looks like a pretty serious tactical shift is necessary for France to get the match moving in their direction again.
I think the best thing for France is to use Patrice Evra the way that Manchester United do, I haven't seen Evra getting forward enough and offering up extra width for France. The French do look better than they did against Uruguay though, that much has to be said.
France are odds-on to be the next team to score and you'll find them trading at a 1.83 price while Mexico are listed at 2.87. No goals is trading at 4.33.
As it stands right now, the most likely player to score the next goal is Nicolas Anelka at a 6.5 price. Franck Ribery is trading at 8.5 while Florent Malouda is priced alongside Sidney Govou at 11.0.
Guillermo Franco is listed at 9.0 to score next while Giovani Dos Santos is priced at 12.0. With Franco on a yellow card he may not be on the pitch too much longer, so keep that in mind in the second half.
I think that Mexico will be able to sneak one if this goes on similarly for another 45. France need to start carving out more chances and they need to be better chances. You can rest assured that Mexico will try to push them all the way.
