FULHAM BETTING TIPS 2009/10 PREMIER LEAGUE

Roy Hodgson and the Cottagers were one of the big surprises from all of last season. Fulham had been tipped to enjoy a lengthy spell in the relegation mire, but instead turned it all around and finished a very respectable 7th- even after their talisman Jimmy Bullard had been sold to Hull City. Fulham will be competing in the Europa League this year and, with some plum draws, I think they could really do some damage in that competition.
The bookies favour Fulham to finish lower than 7th again with William Hill offering up 1/12 odds. If they manage to finish 7th again, you're looking at a hefty 8/1 payout and if they finish even further up the chain, a 10/1 payday awaits. This is a very profitable option if you feel they are going to progress further this year. Not much has changed at Hull since, so I am extremely confident of a top half finish for them at the very least. Hills has listed Fulham at 13/8 to finish in the top half and that's a quality bet. Anything above evens would have been fine for me.
Fulham are 1/66 to stay up, so relegation doesn't even appear to be part of the equation. Should Fulham go down next year, then you're looking at 10/1. I would personally say that Fulham are much more likely to finish sixth then they are to finish 18th, yet both incidences share the same odds.
Andrew Johnson is likely the best candidate they have to score the most goals, although Eddie Johnson and Clint Dempsey are both solid in front of goal in addition to Bobby Zamora. Zamora is 100/1 to high roll the Premier League in goals whereas Andy Johnson is available at 80/1.
I think Fulham will need to play just as hard as they did last season, but I don't see any reason why they won't be playing in Europe again next year, should they be able to build on last year's performance.
