FULHAM FAVOURITES TO BEAT WOLVES: PREMIERSHIP BETTING ODDS AND PREDICTIONS

Fulham take on Wolverhampton Wolves at Craven Cottage this afternoon, in what many are considering to be a low-profile affair. While these two teams don’t traditionally provide the sort of fireworks attacking football that some of the more high profile teams do, this will be a solid clash.
Fulham at home are a great team to watch, and being managed by a world-class manager in the form of Mark Hughes, has made this side one to look out for in 2010/11.
There was mixed emotions at the Cottage this week in that striker Bobby Zamora signed a new four-year contract with the club, however a thigh injury will very likely see him miss out today's game. This puts him on Fulham’s long list of walking wounded including fellow striker Andy Johnson, as well as defender Philippe Senderos.
On the Wolves front the squad has received a bolster in that striker Marcus Bent is in the squad for the first time since joining from Birmingham on loan, with Jelle Van Damme also having recovered from an ankle injury. Matt Jarvis also underlined his long term intentions by singing a new five year. On the Wolves injury front -defender Ronald Zubar is out with a hamstring injury.
Betfair offer the pick of the odds on a Fulham win at 1.91, with a draw set at 3.6. However, with a Wolves side in pretty good health, as well as a significantly increased attacking ability in comparison to last year, one would be foolish to not at least have a peek at their odds of 4.9 - a nice earner if they were to play to their full potential, and Fulham’s favourable home run were to flounder.
With a game of this quality scoreline predictions are through the roof with a very likely Fulham victory of 1-0 set at odds of7.4, and 2-0 win locked 9.6. A 0-1 result in favour of Wolves will have the punters licking their lips at odds of 14 even. Paddypower are offering a Half time/Full time in favour of Fulham on both ends at 2.87, with a Draw/Fulham result netting 4.5.
On the goalscorer front Dempsey looks a good bet on William Hill, especially with the loss of Zamora, at 2.5 to score at anytime. Belgian youngster Moussa Dembele is at 2.25, however with Dempsey owing a big performance...one would expect him to produce. Wolves forward Kevin Doyle is expected to score at some stage with odds at 3.25, with English born, Scottish international Steven Fletcher at 3.75
Although Wolves are sporting one of their best sides in a long time, the fact remains that Fulham did not become a weak side once Hodgson left the Cottage. The team is still structured and confident- especially against the smaller clubs- and at home are a force to be reckoned with. Fulham should take this one easily, however it will be a low scoring affair.
