GAMU NHENGU OUTSIDER TO WIN X FACTOR 2010
With Katie Waissel hot favourite to get the boot this week, many are turning their attention to more pressing issues such as that of outsider and potential wildcard Zimbabwean Gamu Nhengu.
Glasgow sweetheart Ghamu was sent packing, much to the surprise of the voting public. Upon review of the X Factor website- where you will see the decision to favour Katie gets a thumbs up from just 84 viewers, and a thumbs down from a whopping 991!- many have been left confused as to the Zimbabwean’s elimination.
There have been cries of 'fixing' from fans and pundits alike, with some referring to this season looking dodgier than a Pakistan cricket Test match.
Despite forgetting the words of the song at her audition, as well as breaking down in front of Cheryl Cole and Will I Am during the last stage of qualifying, Katie has still managed to scrape through to the live shows section ahead of the clearly more talented Glasgow immigrant.
Many are feeling that Gamu's elimination from the show has wholeheartedly to do with her undecided legal status within the UK- something that has not gone down well with the voting public.
Sources have also revealed that Judge Cheryl Cole, who was mentoring the girl category that Gamu was in, was told by show bosses to drop her for the live shows because of doubts on her Visa status.
Apparently, Cheryl was immediately told by show organisers not to put Gamu into her final three, as there was always the small chance that her visa could be denied, and therefore disrupt the show.
With visa status aside, it is clear that Gamu has won over the public, and once would imagine that the British home office might very well be fast-tracking the Nhengu's application
Paddypower are still putting Essex housepainter Matt Cardle as favourite to win the tournament at 3.75, however Gamu is currently set at 5.0 even
This might be a great time to place a bet, as one thing is for sure...with a public outcry of this extent...she will be back in the contest within the next week or two
William Hill is offering the mother of all bets with Gamu to win it all at an astonishing 11.0 even.
This week is going to be fascinating with everything hanging in the air.
There is bound to be entertainment to the max with the young Zimbabwean immigrant stirring up the emotions not only of the general public, but also the judges.
Betting Tip: Gamu to win with William Hill at 11.0 even!
