Germany 2/1 Narrow Favorites to lift the Confereration Cup

HOSTS Germany head the betting in the Confederations Cup, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.Jurgen Klinsmann's side are 2/1 to win the tournament which could prove to be a valuable pointer to next year's World Cup.Punters have been quick to latch onto the much improved German side, in spite of the prescence in the tournament of the two South American footballing power-houses, Argentina and Brazil.Brazil, the current World Cup holders, are priced at 9/4 with the Magic Sign to lift the Cup, with Argentina also attracting support at 5/2.David Williams, a Ladbrokes spokesman, reported the dominance in the betting of the three leading countries: "We've barely seen a penny for any other team" he said.
