GERMANY VS URUGUAY 3RD PLACE WORLD CUP 2010 PLAY-OFF LATEST ODDS

It was one goal too many for the German side and that young upstart team will only need to wait another two years before they get another shot at international competition. When you realize just how low the average age is on that German side you get the feeling that this is a team that's going to be together for longer than a decade. 

You do have to wonder just how much the absence of Thomas Muller affected the Germans in the middle of the park. 
Regardless, the odds are released for their widely-anticipated match with Uruguay. The latest news from the Uruguayan camp is that Diego Forlan was carrying an injury in the last fixture so we may see Luis Suarez lining up alone for this one. It will certainly add another element to it and I'm hoping that the Germans will find motivation to come out and put on a great show. 
Popular UK bookmaker William Hill has priced Germany as the heavy 4/7 favourites to win this match with the Uruguayans available to be backed at a lengthy 4/1 price tag. The draw is listed at 5/2 and that's a decent bet for Uruguay fans but I think the German punters will be going win-only on this one. 
Betting exchange Betfair has already released a full slate of markets for this one and we're already seeing some cash flowing into the betting coffers. The outright market prices Germany at 1.8 to win while Uruguay can be backed around a 4.9 price. 
The 2.5 over/under on goals is favouring the over at a 1.82 price while the under can be backed at a decent 2.12. I think a higher-scoring affair favours Germany by a massive margin.
