GHANA VS EGYPT 2010 AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS FINAL ODDS AND BETTING TIPS
What a final we have ahead of us as the high-flying goal-scoring Pharaohs of Egypt face off against the steely-resolved and hard-hitting Black Stars of Ghana. The bookmakers are tilting this one fairly hard in Egypt's favour, with popular UK bookmaker William Hill listed Egypt as the odds-on favourites to win the match at a 10/11 price. Ghana is rewarding at a lengthy 10/3 to take the victory in this massive fixture. The 90 minute draw, which would see us head to extra-time and (dare I say it) penalties, pays out at 11/5. That's an interesting selection and I think that many Ghana fans may find themselves having a bash on the draw.
You can also back Ghana on a draw no bet, which means you get your bet refunded if your side don't win in regular time, at 7/4 while Egypt pay a slim 2/5 for the same. Egypt trade at a very solid 5/1 to win both halves and that's my stand-out selection for Egypt fans looking to make a solid profit in this fixture. If Egypt win, they're likely going to win by a few goals and put up a good total. They've been a very high-scoring side and if they are as in-form as they've been through the rest of the tournament then they should be getting a fair amount of chances. Ghana are a massive 12/1 to win both halves.
I think the goal for Ghana is to keep it tight and restrict Egypt by dominating the midfield. Egypt really enjoy the opportunity to counter and hit opponents on the break, so if Ghana have players tracking back often and getting results then I think they could be able to dictate the match from there. I think Ghana are dangerous from set-pieces and I also fancy them in a penalty shoot-out.
A goal within the first 15 minutes pays out at 12/5. A goal in the last 5 minutes pays out at 11/4. In a cup final, where the highest drama tends to unfold, I think a bet on a goal in the last few minutes is always a great way to keep it exciting into the last minutes and even a goal in the last 10 minutes pays a solid 13/8.

In terms of the goal-scorer betting for Ghana, Asamoah Gyan is favoured to score first at a 15/2 price and 9/4 to score at anytime. I like the anytime bet on Gyan, and he is 14/1 to score 2 or more and 50/1 to notch a hat-trick. Agyeman Opoku trades at 8/1 to score first and 11/4 to score anytime. 2 or more goals from him pays 16/1 while he also is available at 50/1. You'll find Matthew Amoah listed at 9/1 to score first and 10/3 anytime. Dominic Adiyiah is at 10/1 first and 7/2 anytime. Andre Ayew and Ransford Osei is listed at 12/1 and 5/1 anytime.
For Egypt, Mohammed Zidan is at a very short 6/4 to score anytime and 11/2 first or last- he's priced the same as Emad Moteab. Geddo trades at 13/2 and 15/8 anytime while Admed Rafoud is also well-priced at 7/1 to score first and 2/1 anytime.
You'll find odds on every player in the match available at William Hill.
I think this one could really go either way and it's going to be very interesting early 20 minutes or so. I think a goal for Egypt early on is especially dangerous as this will allow them to sit back and hit Ghana on the break- this plays right into Egypt's preferred attacking style. If Ghana can keep the match scoreless until half-time, I think Egypt could start to get frustrated and this will allow Ghana some space to get things done. I think that Ghana are quite dangerous from set-pieces and they have a physicality about them that could lead to them dominating the midfield. If they can do this, I think they're great value at their price. If you're betting on Egypt, back them to win by a few goals, if you're backing Ghana, the outright price is a solid one.
