GHANA VS EGYPT 2010 AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS FINAL ODDS

Egypt just completed a 4-0 rout of their main rivals Algeria and look like the form side for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations Finals on January 31st. After some big flash points and quite a few too many cards, the Egyptians won the match with ease. It wasn’t always played in the best of spirit, but that’s what happens when two competitive nations face off at this type of level.

Currently on Betfair, you’ll find Egypt trading at around 1.6 for the outright tournament victory- this includes extra time and penalties. Ghana, who squeaked out a 1-0 victory over a mediocre Nigerian side, are trading at a lengthy 2.7 to win the tournament.
What this match really comes down to, at this point for me, is the fact that the Ghanians haven’t really played beyond themselves yet. I think that team has a lot more gas in the tank than they have shown so far in the tournament and if they have been saving their best for last then I think the Egyptians could be in trouble.
One thing that Egypt has proven is that they don’t really have any trouble finding the back of the net. That, and the fact that they seem to win the key moments in every match they play in. I think that the prices for this match on Betfair are going to more or less stay where they are for the time being, and I expect well over a million matched on the outright result alone.
Mohamed Nagy looks like he’s going to have the tournament top goalscorer sowed up by the time the match rolls around, but he’s facing competition from Asamoah Gyan and Ahmed Hassan. Nagy trades at a slim 1.5 while Gyan is listed at 3/1 and Hassan can be backed at 3.35.
We’ll be bringing you all the latest odds and tips as they emerge over the next few days. I think we could be in for a high-scoring affair if Egypt take the victory, but if Ghana can knock the Pharaohs off their stride and keep the score tight, then I think they have every chance.
