VC Bet's golf department will be closely monitoring the progress of Masters champ Phil Mickelson at this week's Grand Slam of Golf in Hawaii.That's because the firm have accommodated a heavy hitting punter to the tune of £40k at 100/30 for a Mickelson win in the Pacific.Mickelson is now trading at 3/1 what is expected to be a windy Poipu Beach.US PGA winner Vijay Singh is VC Bet's 11/10 favourite with the 2004 season's two other Major winners Retief Goosen 11/5 and Todd Hamilton 9/1."Given Mickelson's well publicised change of clubs and recent form you'd have to consider him a lay for this event," said golf compiler Richard Friend.
