Golf: Wie for St Andrews?

Bookies VC bet have released two specials surrounding Hawaiian golfing sensation Michelle Wie after it was announced that women will be allowed to compete in golf's oldest Major. Wie is 25/1 to qualify for the 2005 Open which takes place at St Andrews and is a colossal 10,000/1 to win the tournament. "If she gets through to St Andrews it's going to be very, very hard for her to make any kind of impact," confessed VC Bet's golf man Richard Friend. "Links golf is completely alien to her and she'll probably find herself standing in pot bunkers she can hardly see out of. "It's a completely different form of golf to the game she'll have grown up with in Hawaii."
