GREECE VS ARGENTINA STARTING LINEUPS AND BETTING TIPS
We're just a short time away from kick-off in the Greece vs Argentina match and we've just had the teamsheets revealed as well. As predicted here previously, Sergio Aguero gets the start today up front with Diego Milito and backed-up by the irrepressible Lionel Messi.
Here are the starting lineups:
Greece: Alexandros Tzorvas; Loukas Vyntra, Vangelis Moras, Sotiris Kyrgiakos, Vassilis Torosidis, Alexandros Tziolis, Avraam Papadopoulos, Socratis Papastathopoulos, Giorgos Samaras, Giorgos Karagounis, Kostas Katsouranis.
Argentina: Sergio Romero, Martin Demichelis, Clemente Rodriguez, Nicolas Burdisso, Mario Bolatti, Juan Sebastian Veron, Maxi Rodriguez, Nicolas Otamendi, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Diego Milito.
Argentina are well-priced to win this if you think they have anything to play for. Stanjames.com prices Argentina at a 1.5 price and I think thats a bit higher than it really should be. Greece are listed at 7.5 to win the match and you can also back the draw at 4.33.
The bookies don't seem to favour a particularly high-scoring match with a 1-0 result to Argentina being the favoured outcome at a 6.0 price. A 2-0 victory pays 7.0 while a 2-1 win is priced at 8.0. 3-0 is listed at a 10.0 price tag.
A 1-1 draw is a very plausible 7.0 and that's probably the best the Greeks can hope for. I guess a loss by Argentina wouldn't be out of the question in compared to other results in this tournament but it has to be acknowledged that they look like one of the better sides.
Lionel Messi is priced at 1.83 to score anytime while Gonzalo Higuain is listed at 2.0 while Sergio Aguero and Diego Milito both trade at 2.1. Keep your eye on Angel Di Maria at 3.75.
For Greece, they'll be looking to Theofanis Gekas at 3.75 and Angelos Charisteas at 4.5. Georigios Samaras' odds to score are well-priced at 5.0.
I think it's Argentina's to win and the 1.5 odds could disappear pretty quickly in the live betting markets if they start brightly.
