Greek tragedy for Gerry?

With no fewer than five people up for eviction from Big Brother this week, Friday's eviction race is for once more open than usual and Gerry looks well-priced at 2/1 to take the walk of shame. Following a week of 'Self-Improvement' the housemates have inevitably been bickering more than ever but the result of another engagingly-themed few days has thrown up an interesting quandary. They don't know it yet but those housemates who have won Guru status for coming first in the 'Body', 'Mind' and 'Soul' tasks will also have huge burden to carry for their acquired wisdom. As well as being rewarded immunity from eviction this week, they will also have to choose which of two housemates chosen by the public will leave the show. This means that Ziggy, Tracey and Samanda must decide the fate of Kara-Louise, Carole, Jonty, Brian, Liam and Gerry. In effect Brian and Liam can be ruled out because they are too cool for school with both the hormonal teen girls voting and the Gurus. Jonty has also come across well, which leaves Kara-Louise, Carole and Gerry as the lowest-priced trio. Moaning Carole has been involved in a number of arguments this week and was responsible for the housemates having to forfeit the week's luxury shopping budget for hiding biscuits and doing chores when banned. However, should she somehow make it into the last two it can be assumed that she will be spared as Tracey considers her her only real friend in the house and Ziggy gets on well with the mother hen figure. Which leaves Kara-Louise and Gerry. Kara-Louise is favourite to go largely because she is a flaky presence in the house who has whinged about how hard Big Brother is having been there for all of five minutes. She has also not ingratiated herself with any of the housemates in the same way Jonty has managed to so unless she starts farting uncontrollably or jumping naked in the pool her days look numbered. However, Gerry is by no means safe. Himself convinced that he will be cast out after claiming in the lie-detector test that he had a gameplan he has also argued with Ziggy, Tracey and Carole and fallen out with Liam and Brian in recent days. His perceived aloof attitude and increasingly argumentative nature has also made him an irritant. Ziggy has already voted for Gerry to go in the past but has historically varied his voting patterns and might favour Gerry above the new girl after apparently burying the hatchet. Tracey has also voted for the Greek before and has argued furiously with him this week. So the casting vote could go to Samanda and either way it will be a close call. Gerry may be spared as he has been there from the start and gets on well with the girls but his recent behaviour has brought the mood of the house down. Much depends on what happens between now and Friday but 2/1 is worth a small saver on a Greek tragedy.
