Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> NFL fans have an early Christmas gift from Sky Sports when they broadcast live the mouth-watering encounter between <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Minnesota and Green Bay at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. The Vikings are odds-on favourites to avenge their 34-31 loss at Lambeau Field back in week 10. The division rivals are level at 8-5 and so the winner of this game will go along way to deciding the NFC North and most likely the number three seed in the conference. The Packers infact have already clinched a wildcard spot and would be crowned division Champions with a victory. Minnesota wouldn't clinch the division if they win on Friday night, but would at least be guaranteed of a wildcard. The Vikings finish the regular season in Washington with what could turn out to be a far tougher game than anyone previously thought - should the Redskins have any possibility of postseason football. Based on recent evidence, this match-up has the potential to be every bit as exciting as the 65 point thriller earlier in the year. Last week the Vikings defence allowed a previously poor Detroit passing offence to put over 350 yards up through the air. If Joey Harrington can manage those types of stats, then Brett Favre is more than capable putting points and plenty of them on the board. Like the hosts, the Packers defence is struggling and could be in for a torrid game against Daunte Culpepper who threw for over 400 yards and three scores against the Lions. Meanwhile, Green Bay were soft against both the run and pass against Jacksonville last Sunday, despite adverse conditions for the Jags offence. When Green Bay faced Minnesota at home a month and a half ago, they didn't have to face Randy Moss yet still allowed the Vikings to score 31 points. Now Moss is back and becoming healthier by the week, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see the hosts put close to 40 points on the board. This should be a highly entertaining and high scoring match, although the odds layers are being rather mean with the total points quote by putting it as high as 56. Nevertheless with two poor defences going up against high-powered offences, there is every chance of a sixty pointer. Bet for free on this game with Bet365
