GREYHOUND BETTING TIPS FOR THE BETFRED ECLIPSE FINAL
We’re a few hours away from one of the biggest Greyhound finals around as several top competitors are set to contest the Betfred Eclipse Final at Nottingham. Many puppy-pundits predict a two-dog night with Charlie Lister’s two charges Jordansoilutions and Fear Zafonic ready to slog it out over the 500 meter surface.
Jordansoilutions is clearly the form hound in the race with two victories over Fear Zafonic in the heats and semi-finals. Popular bookmaker Blue Square lists him at 3/1 alongside Fear Zafonic and another well-regarded runner Eye Onthe Storm. You’ll remember him from his victory in the Caffrey’s Puppy Classic where he bested Jordansoilutions. He has been wining his races by significant margins with 2¾ and 5 length margins all the way up to 7½.
Eye Onthe Storm seems to be at his best at the distance and he has beaten one of the most-backed dogs, so I expect his price to drop as we get closer to race time as the punters begin to pile on. The fifth trap draw is not ideal, however.
Blue Square is listing Frisby Forfun at 14/1 and Head Iton Ellis at a 6/1 margin. You’ll also find Romeo Maldini listed at 6/1, having drifted down significantly with many major bookmakers. He is drawing plenty of attention and could be set to spring a surprise.
If you’re going to be betting exotic selections this evening, be sure to give Blue Square a look as they have a truly unbeatable promotion going right now. My selection for this one, on form is Jordansoilutions under stiff competition from Eye Onthe Storm. I would likely add Romeo Maldini on the tail to tie up your tri-cast selection.
