Heineken Cup 4th Round Preview
Round 4 of the Heineken Cup begins on Friday evening when Leinster travel to Bourgoin, and we are confident that Leinster can pull of a comfortable victory.Pool 2 is within the control of the Dubliners, but there will be no lack of motivation to win this contest, as they still face matches at Bath, and against Treviso, who have been the surprise package in the tournament so far. With just the winner of each Pool guaranteed to progress, Declan Kidney will be pressing the importance of this fixture.Bourgoin were dreadful last week, and seemed entirely disinterested in the match as they lost 17-92 to these opponents at Lansdowne Road. Playing at home will be easier for them, but with them lying second in the French Championship at present, their focus is sure to be more aligned towards that competition. With zero points, they have no chance of reaching the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup, and so motivation will be minimal. In their last home game in this competition, when they still did harbour some hopes of advancing, Bennetto Treviso made the trip from Italy and thrashed them by 34-0, an embarrassment for any side to suffer.Leinster are a side packed full of sheer class, especially in the back division. Some thought that Gordon D'Arcy would be badly missed, but Shane Horgan filled his centre role with absolute ease scoring two of the thirteen tries , and confirming that Ireland have an embarrassment of riches in this position. The man alongside him, as he will be tonight, is no less that his international skipper and world renowned Brian O'Driscoll. Kidney has named an unchanged side and they will be going for their fourth win in as many Heineken Cup matches. The results and score lines speak for themselves, and with just a seven point handicap available at 10/11, or, an eight point one at Evens, we feel this is a great bet to begin the weekend with.
