HEINEKEN CUP BETTING TIPS FOR DECEMBER 13 AND 14

There is some really exciting action kicking off this weekend in the Heineken Cup with Paddy Power offering an incredible handicap coupon and a number of other solid odds as well. PREDICTIONSSaturday's matches look especially appealing with Ospreys an unbelievably heavy favourite over lowly Treviso. Back Ospreys with your life savings at 1/100. The draw pays 100-1 and Treviso pays a mere 18-1. For some reason, I can see an Ospreys victory. I also see a 28 point handicap.Dragons face off against Toulouse in a closer encounter which Toulouse is expected to win. They've been in good form and I can't see Dragons having that much to play for at this point, I think the 1-5 odds in Toulouse's direction are about as good as they can get and I really wouldn't back Dragons in this one, even at 10-3. Gloucester are even heavier favourites against Calvisano, listed at 1-500. Obviously not looking for value on the outright match betting, Paddy has a whopping 40 point handicap on this one, but I'm more than confident that Gloucester will cover the spread- rolling over Calvisano emphatically. Munster take on Clermont Auvergne and I can't see the French team taking this one either. Should be a bit closer, indicated by the 10 point spread and I'm favouring the outright betting on this one as it could be closer than some other others. You're looking at 1-6 for Munster outright. Can't argue with that one. Quins come up against Stade France at 5:30 on Saturday and it seems like this is the true toss-up of the weekend. I'm going to have to edge this one slightly in favour of Stade France and I'm really enticed by Paddy Power's alternative handicaps on this one. I'm going to take Quins -12 at 9-2. Sharks are favourites ahead of Montauban and there remains a possibility for an upset here. At 5-2, Montauban aren't looking too bad, and I'm unsure whether Sharks can cover the 8 point spread. Edinburgh against Wasps is a juicy encounter and I'm quite sure that Wasps have the 9 point spread more than covered. In fact I'm going to back them at -13 at 11/8. Glascow against Bath looks a relatively close encounter and there really isn't all that much between these two teams, especially with Glascow at home. I'm going to take the upset in this one and back Glascow to perform. Glascow -3 at 5/2.Perpignan versus Leicester has me backing the midlands side all the way. Leicester -4 at 11/4 is a lock.
