HOLLAND VS BRAZIL PREDICTIONS AND WORLD CUP BETTING TIPS
Brazil's odds have been clipped by virtually all major bookmakers over the past 48 hours ahead of their widely-anticipated World Cup Quarter-Final fixture with the Netherlands.
Popular UK-based bookmaker Bet365 has priced Brazil as the odds-on favourites with a 1.9 price, while Holland trade at a lengthy 4.5.
Personally, I'm of the opinion that Holland can take this match but the recent rumours of a dressing room row between Wesley Sneijder and Robin Van Persie (two key members of the squad) does check my enthusiasm though. You can back the draw at 3.4 and I think that extra-time between these two would be scintillating.
In regards to the outright qualification odds, you'll find Brazil priced at 1.44 with the Dutch available at 2.75. This bet includes extra-time and penalties while the previous odds relate to the 90 minute market.
If you fancy extra-time and penalties in this one, you can add a significant amount of value to your bet in the "method of victory" market. You'll find Holland at 10.0 to win on penalties while Holland in extra-time is listed at 17.0. Brazil to win on penalties is the favoured outcome at 9.0 while Brazil in extra-time is listed at 12.0.
The bookies don't favour a huge amount of goals and, with so many potential match-winners on the pitch, you have to feel as though the over 2.5 selection is the better play. Under 2.5 goals pays out at 1.61 while over 2.5 goals rewards at 2.25.
Unsurprisingly, Luis Fabiano is the favoured anytime goalscorer with a 2.2 price while Robinho is trading at 2.87. Nilmar, Grafite and Robin Van Persie are all listed at 3.0 margins while Kaka is priced at 3.2. Keep your eyes on Wesley Sneijder at 5.0 anytime and Arjen Robben at a 4.33 listing. Dirk Kuyt is well-priced at 4.75.
I think that if Brazil can boss the game then they could brush the Dutch aside, but personally I think that Holland are the value play here and have every chance to take advantage of any mistakes by the Brazilian side. If Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben aren't contained, then I think Brazil may find themselves on the backfoot.
