HOLLAND VS DENMARK 2010 WORLD CUP BETTING TIPS

Holland have a lot of expectations on them for this tournament and getting things started off with anything but a victory would be a real issue for this Dutch team. The fact that they are playing their first match of this World Cup against their neighbours Denmark complicates things even further.

Denmark will likely be playing for the draw here and they boast some players with World Cup experiene, but unfortunately aren't the most threatening side in the competition.
Holland are priced at 1/2 to win this match while Denmark can be backed at 6/1 with Blue Square. The draw is trading at a 3/1 margin and that's about right. Those are all pretty reasonable prices on this one.
I think there will be a few goals in this one and the over/under on goals has over 2.5 priced at 21/10 while under 2.5 goals pays out at 7/10. With so offense on the pitch here, I really can't see myself backing the under.
You can take Holland on the (-1.0) handicap at an enticing 5/4 and I don't see this being a 1-0 result for Holland. I think they will either win this emphatically or not win it at all.
Denmark (+1.0) is listed at 6/4. If you really think Holland are going to run away with this one you can take them (-2.0) at a 4/1 price. They are also trading at even money to win the first 45 minutes of the match. Denmark are 11/2 to be leading at half-time.
Robin Van Persie is the only player in the match who is listed at an odds-on price to score. He's at 5/6 to get a goal at any point in the match- just a bit ahead of teammate Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Dirk Kuyt's odds to score are at 7/4 but I've got my eyes on Wesley Sneijder at a 9/4 price.
For Denmark, they will be looking to Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner at 3/1 and veteran Jon Dahl Tomasson at 10/3.
I wouldn't be too surprised to see Denmark get on the scoresheet at least but I think if the Dutch play to their potential then they should pick up the victory here. I think a 2-1 result or a 3-1 result is probably about right.
