HULL CITY VS CHELSEA PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS
Hull City travel to Chelsea looking for any form of points here and with the Blues in such good form, you can understand why they’re priced as the 1/4 favourites. Top bookmaker William Hill has priced Carlo Ancelotti’s men extremely short and they’ve also listed the draw at 9/2. An unlikely Hull City victory, which would open the title race quite widely, will garner an 11/1 payout.
A 2-0 victory to Chelsea is priced as low as I’ve ever seen it – 4/1. A 1-0 win pays out at 5/1 while 3-0 rewards at the same margin. Even Chelsea 4-0 only pays 9/1. A 1-1 draw is listed at 17/2 while 2-2 pays a massive 15/1. Hull City to win 2-1 pays 28/1 while 3-2 is a titanic 100/1.
Chelsea/Chelsea in the half-time/full-time market only pays out at 13/20 while Draw/Chelsea looks to be your better option at 3/1. I’m not sure if Hull can hold out for 45 minutes, but who’s to say they don’t notch an unexpected early goal. Lord knows John Terry’s head might be elsewhere and he may concede a penalty.
Hull City have reinforced their starting line-up and they’re looking to unleash Amr Zaki in this fixture. The Egyptian dynamo, who lit up the scoreboards at Wigan last season, is listed at 10/1 to score first or last and a very tempting 7/2 to score anytime. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink trades at 11/1 first or last and 4/1 anytime- that’s the same price as Geovanni. Jozy Altidore is listed at 12/1 first or last and 5/1 anytime.
Hull City haven’t won in nine league matches and they desperately need points to stave off relegation. Chelsea have scored 15 goals in their last five matches against Hull, so the Tigers will definitely have their work cut out for them.
Didier Drogba is slated for his first start since the African Cup of Nations. You’ll find and Nicolas Anelka trading at 10/3 to score first or last and 4/5 anytime. They are both 11/2 to score 2 or more and 20/1 for a hat-trick. Daniel Sturridge is at evens to score anytime while Frank Lampard trades at 5/4 anytime. Salomon Kalou is listed at the same price.
John Terry to score against Hull pays out at 6/1.
If you’re looking to back the Blues, why not try Chelsea (-2.0) at 15/8?
