IRELAND VS BRAZIL FRIENDLY MATCH LATEST BETTING TIPS
We’re set for a real show today as the mid-week International friendlies get off to an early start at the Emirates with Ireland taking on world-beaters Brazil. The Brazilians are the understandable favourites here, but I have a feeling that the Irish may be capable of springing a real surprise here if they can come out all-guns-blazing.
William Hill has listed Brazil’s odds to win at a solid 4/9 margin with the Republic of Ireland trading at a 13/2 price tag. The draw rewards at 16/5 and I think we may see a fair amount of action on the draw no bet from the Irish fans. Judging from the prices on the correct score margins, it doesn’t look like the bookmakers expect a runaway victory from Brazil and I think that’s indicative of Brazil’s less flamboyant, more organized style that they have been deploying over the past while.
You’ll find that the 1-0 and 2-0 results for Brazil are the favoured options at 9/2 apiece. A 2-1 victory pays out at 13/2 while a 3-0 win pays 7/1. 4-0 is a lengthy 16/1 so I don’t really see Brazil scoring more than 2 maybe 3 goals. If Robbie Keane can give them some trouble and Ireland can stay organized at set-pieces then I think the possibility exists to do some damage.
Robbie Keane is listed at 11/4 to score anytime and he is 8/1 to score first or last. 2 goals or more from the Celtic man pays out at 16/1 while a hat-trick is an epic 50/1. Shane Long, Kevin Doyle and Anthony Stokes are 7/2 to score anytime and 10/1 to score first or last. Darron Gibson is also one to keep your eyes on if he gets a start and you’ll find him priced at 7/1 anytime- which is a solid bet. I think they’ll be trying to tee him up for a few long-range screamers and the Brazilians may not know too much about him.
Adriano is favoured to get the business done for Brazil and he trades at even money to score any time. He is also 4/1 to notch one first or last. Nilmar is 6/5 anytime and 9/2 first or last while Grafite is 5/4 anytime and 5/1 first or last.
Kaka’s odds to score today are 15/8 anytime while Robinho is listed at 6/4. Julio Baptista can be backed at 11/4 while Kleberson (remember him?) will likely be on the bench. You can back him at 7/1 to score a supremely ironic goal.
If you think Brazil are going to take this one, you’d do well to back them on a handicap. You can take Brazil (-2.0) at 10/3 while Brazil (-1.0) is a tidy 6/5.
A penalty is 4/1 to be awarded and you’re looking at 5/1 if its scored and 14/1 if its missed. If Brazil really come at Ireland I could see them conceding a penalty. Personally, I’m favouring the Irish here on a draw no bet at a solid 9/2.
