JACK WILSHERE TO SCORE AS ARSENAL TAKE ON ASTON VILLA

Arsenal face a competitive fixture this weekend as they take on Aston Villa, but the question on everybody's mind after his mid-week heroics is "Will Jack Wilshere play and if so, will he score?" Having completely dominated the Carling Cup proceedings on Tuesday as Arsenal clashed with a relatively full-strength Wigan side, 16-year-old Wilshere took home the match ball.International RumorsEven though Wilshere is still yet to sign a professional contract (he turns 17 on January 1) there is still a strong possibility that he could be used sparingly over the next few games and get 15 minutes here and 20 minutes there. I wouldn't go that far, as he will hopefully be able to keep his act together. As of today on totesport, Jack Wilshere is listed at 5/2 as anytime goalscorer in this weekend's clash with Aston Villa, but a safer (and more lucrative) bet may be to back him as last goalscorer which also pays out at 8/1.
