JAMES WADE VS SIMON WHITLOCK 2010 PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS ODDS
It is extremely rare for the biggest match of the night not to be the final match of the night in the Premier League of Darts. However, this week we have such a situation as James Wade and Simon Whitlock do battle in the penultimate game of the evening.
Wade and Whitlock are locked together on 12 points from 12 matches and are separated by just one leg in the league table. Wade edged the previous meeting between the two in week six by 8-4, in what was The Machine’s first win of this Premier League season.
On that night Whitlock hit a magical 170 checkout to give an indication of just what it is that he is all about. It was also a prime example of a trait which is common between these two players – the ability to raise your game for the big matches. I suspect this could unfold into one of the classic Premier League matches with both players hitting their top form when it is required.
If we continue down that line of though then the 5/6 on a checkout of 122 or higher at Bluesquare looks a suitable starting point for the betting on this match. I also like the look of over 7.5 180’s at 10/11 with Paddy Power. Wade hit an immensely impressive seven maximums in his recent match against Phil Taylor whilst Whitlock hit five against the same opponent the following week; another clear sign of both players raising their game for the big occasion.
As for the match odds it would have to be suggested that this one is best approached with caution. If either player isn’t quite at their peak then they could be taken to the cleaners. However, working on the theory that both players will be playing to their maximum would suggest that we should either be backing The Wizard at favourable odds of 7/4 with Stan James or laying Wade at the shorter price of 2.3 (5/4) on Betfair.
Recommended Bets;
Back Highest Checkout to be over 121.5 @ 5/6
Back Over 7.5 180’s @ 10/11
