JOE KINNEAR TO REMAIN NEWCASTLE MANAGER

As Mike Ashley's probability of finding a buyer for his beleaguered Newcastle United side continue to slim down by the day, many Newcastle fans believe that Joe Kinnear will remain the manager well into 2009. With names like Kevin Keegan, Gus Poyet, Didier Deschamps, Terry Venables and Steve Bruce being thrown around, you can tell that things are definitely starting to dissolve into silly-season.Of course, Alan Shearer remains a perennial candidate, but I am not confident that he will step up and drink form the poisoned chalice for his first managerial position. Many people believe that King Kev will return and lead his troops again once a new owner is stabilised but I seriously don't think that Keggy Keegle will be willing to take up the Toon Army reigns for the 4th time. Joe Kinnear's sweary outburst to Fleet street's "finest" has solidified him as one of the most amusing Premiership characters this year and many fans have warmed to his "no BS" style of managing. If he is looking to create a siege mentality at St. James Park, then it looks like mission accomplished. My assumption is that no sales will be completed within the next two months and if Kinnear can pull the team into mid-table obscurity then I think he will have done enough to solidify his job at least until the end of the season. Back Joe Kinnear to remain Newcastle Manager.
