Just 80 days until the start of NFL wagering!!

Ah yes the sweet sounds of summer and the crack of the bat and the boat in the water, has everyone in just a fine mood and more importantly the NFL is right around the corner! The preseason kicks off August 6th and with a plethora of baseball action and barbecues, it will be here before you know it, as unfortunately the summer just flies by.In Pittsburgh Bill Cowher enters his 14th season as the head coach and that is the longest tenure of anyone in the league and he is in know mood to talk about last season. If you recall the Steelers were 6-10 in 2003 but bounced back this past season with an incredible 15-1 season, fueled by the play of rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. He is 130-77 in his career with 8 divisional titles, but he is still searching for that Holy Grail the Super Bowl. The Steelers loss in the AFC Championship was their fourth in five tries and Cowher is in no mood to talk about their perceived success in 2004!In Green Bay the clock is ticking on Mike Sherman who was relieved of his front office personnel power in favor of Ted Thompson and has been asked to focus on coaching. He has an aging quarterback in Brett Farve an obviously troubled running back in Ahman Green and has loss 40% of his starting offensive line in Marco Rivera and Mike Wahle. His defense is void of a pass rush and has lost quarterback of the defense Darren Sharper to Seattle and former coach Mike Holmgren. In San Francisco look for number one draft pick Alex Smith to have a real rocky ride, as the 49ers will start two rookies on the offensive line. Add to this the fact that they have a new coach in Mike Nolan and this could be another long season in the Bay area.Over the next few months we are going to continue to keep you up to date on all the developments in the NFL and we look forward to a great season of wagering in 2005!
