Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are about to do battle in another London derby in the Premier League and it is a game that is very important to both teams' managers.
London derbies have become a staple of Premier League football but this season has been special in terms of those derbies.
With Fulham joining Spurs, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Brentford, West Ham United and Premier League leaders Arsenal this season, fans have been treated to an amazing turf war for the streets of London.
This time around, it's North vs West with Spurs taking on Chelsea in a game that is not only culturally significant for Londoners, but for Antonio Conte and Graham Potter.
For Conte, who is currently recuperating in Italy thanks to his gallbladder surgery, a Spurs win could see them cement their place in the top four as they have hovered around that position for most of the season.
For the under-fire Potter, it could be a chance to show that he belong in the big leagues, especially with Liverpool making a late charge for the top four following their recent performances.
It is also a huge game for Spurs whose last win against Chelsea in all competitions came eight games ago, in September of 2020.
Conte's men will be hoping to break that duck while Potter will be hoping to continue the run which he met upon his appointment after the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
Form Guide: Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur are finally back in the top four following their 2 - 0 victory over West Ham, another team from West London.
They are only a point above Newcastle United in fifth place, however, which makes their match against Chelsea all the more important.
The Magpies will not be in action on the weekend that they take on Chelsea which means that a win will help them secure fourth place pending the outcome of Newcastle's next game down the line.
Conte's return to the club is still unknown but his assistant Christian Stellini has overseen the victories that Spurs have had in the time between his surgery and the Chelsea game. In that time, a few Spurs players have looked like new players.
The new-found form of these men coupled with the mentality that will push them to end their unfortunate run against Chelsea is what Stellini - and Conte - will be counting on.
Form Guide: Chelsea
Poorly run, poorly managed and poorly trained, Chelsea are going into the match against Tottenham Hotspur at their lowest.
A loss to Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League thanks to a brilliant goal from the fufu-fuelled Karim Adeyemi was followed by a loss to bottom of the table Southampton.
Both results have increased the intensity of the spotlight being cast upon the whole club, especially on Potter who, as manager, is the scapegoat for the team's poor performances.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion manager, however, can count on the immense talent in his team. Having spent almost £650 million in total transfers in the two windows of the ongoing season, Potter is assured of the best talent at his disposal.
A tough test lies ahead for him against Spurs to prove that he can take charge of a top team.
What to expect from the match
It will be a closely contested game but Spurs' home advantage will see to it that they keep Chelsea at bay for most of the match.
Enzo Fernandez will turn up as he has since joing the Blues I'm January, but Chelsea will struggle to break down Spurs. On the other hand, Spurs will rely on their ability to counterattack more than often in this game thanks to the gaping hole that can sometimes be found in Chelsea's midfield since Potter took over.
A Spurs win is the likely outcome and the game will be a low scoring affair.
Betting predictions
A Tottenham Hotspur win
Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, and a rejuvenated supporting cast will give the fans something to smile about.
Their recent history will also spur them to action and they will enjoy plenty of it against a Chelsea side that has looked clueless in defence for a while now.
William Hill is offering 2.37 odds for the hosts to claim a win.
Under 2.5 goals
Chelsea are not scoring much and neither are Spurs. This means that a one-goal or two-goal margin will decide the outcome.
However, if a two-goal margin is to decide the outcome, the signs point to Chelsea leaving the game empty-handed. Recent history could help them gather some much needed morale but a low-scoring affair is hard to bet against, making it certain that two goals are the most we can see in that game.
William Hill is offering 1.73 odds for this to happen.
Both teams to score – NO
Chelsea have struggled to score since the start of 2023 and have only managed to find the back of the net three times across all competitions. In their last five league outings, the Blues have only scored once and they could yet struggle to score against Spurs, with the hosts doing the scoring in North London.
