Tottenham aim to pile Potter’s misery 

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are about to do battle in another London derby in the Premier League and it is a game that is very important to both teams' managers.

London derbies have become a staple of Premier League football but this season has been special in terms of those derbies.

With Fulham joining Spurs, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Brentford, West Ham United and Premier League leaders Arsenal this season, fans have been treated to an amazing turf war for the streets of London.

This time around, it's North vs West with Spurs taking on Chelsea in a game that is not only culturally significant for Londoners, but for Antonio Conte and Graham Potter.

For Conte, who is currently recuperating in Italy thanks to his gallbladder surgery, a Spurs win could see them cement their place in the top four as they have hovered around that position for most of the season.

For the under-fire Potter, it could be a chance to show that he belong in the big leagues, especially with Liverpool making a late charge for the top four following their recent performances.

It is also a huge game for Spurs whose last win against Chelsea in all competitions came eight games ago, in September of 2020.

Conte's men will be hoping to break that duck while Potter will be hoping to continue the run which he met upon his appointment after the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.

Conte's return to the club is still unknown but his assistant Christian Stellini has overseen the victories that Spurs have had in the time between his surgery and the Chelsea game. In that time, a few Spurs players have looked like new players.

The new-found form of these men coupled with the mentality that will push them to end their unfortunate run against Chelsea is what Stellini - and Conte - will be counting on.

It will be a closely contested game but Spurs' home advantage will see to it that they keep Chelsea at bay for most of the match.

On the other hand, Spurs will rely on their ability to counterattack more than often in this game thanks to the gaping hole that can sometimes be found in Chelsea's midfield since Potter took over.

A Spurs win is the likely outcome and the game will be a low scoring affair.
