LADBROKES CHELSEA VS BARCELONA LAST MINUTE BETTING TIPS
So, after the incredible demolition of Arsenal at the hands of Manchester United we're now set for the match that determines whether we have an identical repeat of last year's Champions League Final. As it currently stands, FC Barcelona are the favourites to qualify (4/6 to Chelsea's 13/8), while both teams share identical odds on the outright win for the 2nd leg match. There's a lot of value in the Ladbrokes markets for this fixture and that's something you'd expect following a 0-0 1st leg scoreline. Obviously, Barcelona hold a slim advantage knowing that their goals could count double thanks to the away goals rule and I think that's why Chelsea are going to try to stay as organized through the center of the pitch as possible. Barca are known to attack the flanks, but I feel as though they're most dangerous coming through the middle of the pitch. Guus Hiddink will have a plan in place to nullify this. Truth be told, I can see this one going down very similarly to the way Barca went out to United last year. I'm confident that there will be a 1-0 scoreline in Chelsea's favour once the game is done. Again, I'm confident that a mistake from one of Barcelona's defenders could prove to be the pivotal moment. I think Barca struggle to score against English opposition as the mentality of defenders differs considerably from those in La Liga. The bookies favour a 1-1 draw @ 5/1, which would put Barcelona through to the final. 1-0 to Chelsea is right behind that at 11/2. Barcelona 1-0 pays 6/1 but I don't see that happening. Chelsea will score here, especially considering the question marks over Barcelona's central defensive partnership. For me, the real value is in the half-time/full-time market. I think we'll have a scoreless first half and we've got Draw/Chelsea at 4/1 and Draw/Barcelona at 9/2. The favoured first goalscorers are Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi and Didier Drogba all listed at 7/1. Personally, I think a Frank Lampard deflected goal could prove the difference and you can back him at 9/1. John Terry is worth a look at 25/1. If John Obi Mikel is starting (and I don't think Hiddink is stupid enough to play him) back him to receive the first card immediately at 9/1. That is very easy money if he starts the match. PREDICTION1-0 to Chelsea courtesy of a Frank Lampard goal that takes two deflections.
