LADBROKES MANCHESTER DERBY BETTING TIPS
Manchester City head into this fixture with a massive price attached to them- 9.0 if they pull off the outright victory over Manchester United. Interestingly enough, and I'm sure this will be on Alex Ferguson's mind, City pulled the double on United last year. Despite the attraction of an overly inflated price (5.5 is more realistic) I still can't back City on this one. United don't have a Champions League fixture this week for the first time in a while, so I'm expecting a full-strength side. A fact exacerbated by the timing of the Tuesday night match.United are listed at 1.36 with the draw paying 4.5. If you're going to be betting correct score, it's going to be tough unless you think City will notch at least one. 7.0 is the payout for 1-1, 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0. 3-1 pays out at 10.0 and thats a bit more attractive from my perspective. I expect that this one could be tight, but United really are hitting form at just the right time. The Red Devils are expected to dominate both halves with Manchester United/Manchester United in the half-time/full-time market paying out at less than evens- 1.8. Draw/Manchester United pays 4.5 and that's not a half-bad bet. Cristiano Ronaldo is the favoured first goalscorer at 4.5 with Wayne Rooney available at 5.0. Robinho can be backed at 11.0 and I'd also keep an eye on Park Ji-Sung as well who is at 13.0.Personally, I think these are the types of matches Wayne Rooney thrives in, United will be looking to make a statement of intent and I could actually see Fergie resting Ronaldo for a good portion of the match here. I still wouldn't be surprised to see him start, but we could see a bit of a shuffle however I do expect a full-strength team. I'm backing Wayne Rooney to score a hat-trick at 17.0 with United to win 4-1 which pays 15.0.
