There is a lot more to play for in Wednesday’s lineup of Champions League action than there was on Tuesday - when just a few Europa League spots were up for grabs but the groups themselves were more or less done and dusted. The Group E-H fixtures have plenty of interesting wagering opportunities developing and there are only a few real bankers lined up at this point.

The day looks ripe for in-play wagering as a few of these matches look a tough puzzle from the outset. You may want to give yourself a few minutes to watch each side and get an idea of where the gaps and opportunities might be.
Chelsea are the biggest favourites of the day with an ultra-slim 1/9 price to get the result over Nordsjaelland - a victory they need to have any chance of qualification for the next stage of the Champions League. They would be the first trophy winners to go out at the subsequent group stage. Even with Rafa Benitez in charge and results continuing to underwhelm, the bookmakers look extremely confident that the Blues will get the right result here. Expect a few cheeky wagers from certain sections of the Chelsea support on some type of a draw or even a win from the visitors - who trade at a hefty 16/1.
Ask yourself this question - if Nordsjaelland sneak a quick early goal, can this Chelsea team break them down? Fernando Torres is 1/5 to grab an anytime goal - will he actually make the breakthrough?
Bayern Munich host BATE Borisov and are the second biggest favourites of the day with a 1/8 price tag. BATE can be backed at 14/1 for the outright result and 8/1 for the draw. They’re in the drivers seat for a Europa League spot in their group while Bayern and Valencia slug it out for the Group Winner’s position - both deadlocked on 10 points apiece.
BATE will be hoping that Lille don’t get the result against Valencia in what looks to be a fairly open game. The French side need to make up a bit of goal difference as well so even if Borisov lose their fixture as expected they would still look likely to go through to the Europa League as Lille need both a victory and a two or three goal margin of victory - something that is hard to see against a Valencia side with something to play for.
