Such has been their good form that Sir Alex Ferguson decided to whisk them all off on a sunshine break to Dubai, which was as much to keep them away from Manchester hotel rooms and Roman bordellos as anything else, one suspects. Ronaldo, though, has been as prolific on the pitch as he has off it, scoring in 12 of the last 14 matches in which he has played. That record is simply phenomenal. As is the 23 goals the Portuguese 'winger' has amassed this campaign. Ronaldo's goalscoring feats make Rooney look like Dave Nugent by comparison but the England striker (Rooney, that is, not Nugget) has also been pulling his considerable weight in the goals department, hitting the net in three of the last four matches and scoring 12 overall - not bad for a bloke that bust his foot earlier this season. So the question is, can the R&R be stopped? History would suggest that Spurs have no chance against a United side they haven't beaten for seven years. Indeed they haven't won at Old Trafford for almost 20 years. But then again Spurs have been flouting tradition of late. Their 21-match hoodoo against Arsenal came to a dramatic end on Tuesday and they were unlucky to lose at United earlier in the season when a deflected Nani strike proved their undoing. More importantly Juande Ramos has come in, taken a good look around and got the broom out. Dropping Paul Robinson was a masterstroke but, more importantly, he's brought solidity and tactical nous to a side that was previously soft-centred. Spurs will also be high on confidence after the 5-1 success and, with cup specialist Ramos at the helm, might just manage an upset here. Admittedly Spurs beat an understrength Arsenal side in midweek but they are now a different prospect with a fit-again Ledley King holding the fort at the back. And even Jermaine Jenas is threatening to look half decent. United, as Bolton and West Ham have proven this season, are beatable, and if they rest key players ahead of Wednesday's visit of Portsmouth they might, like certain individuals who will remain unnamed, just be caught with their trousers down again. Verdict: 2pts Spurs to bt Manchester United @ 13/2 (Bet365); 5pts Ronaldo anytime goalscorer @ 11/10 (Boylesports) Click here for a free Bet365 £100 to bet on the FA Cup with Bet365
