LATEST FOOTBALL BETTING PREVIEW FOR TUESDAY JANUARY 5TH

STOKE VS FULHAM
Stoke City vs Fulham is an intriguing match between two mid-table sides aspiring to move further up the Premiership echelons. This match is offering up really solid value on all sides, with the bookmakers seemingly baffled about who has the best chance to take all three points. As it currently stands, Fulham are just edging Stoke in terms of the outright odds with a 13/8 price slightly ahead of the Potters who trade at 8/5. The draw, which is a very realistic possibility is well-priced at 9/4. The correct score margins are identical for both teams (a sure-fire indicator of a tight match) and 2-1 at 10/1 for each team seems about right to me if there is an actual discernable result. I think 1-1 is the likeliest option and the bookmakers seem to agree- listing it at an 11/2 price. If you’re looking for an outside value bet, try Fulham/Draw at 14/1 with Blue Square.
BARCELONA VS SEVILLA
This Copa del Rey clash looks to be one of the most enticing fixtures of the day. Barca have won literally everything there is to win this year and the bookmakers have them well-priced for a victory here. You’ll find Josep Guardiola’s side trading at 2/5 with Sevilla listed at a lengthy 6/1 for the outright win. The draw trades at 11/4 but I really don’t think punters will side with anyone but the Catalan Club here. The fact that the match is happening at the Nou Camp gives me even more confidence in Barca’s chances and, although I don’t expect them to run-up a huge total, a 3-1 result would be about right for me. You’ll find that listed at 9/1 while another great bet for this match is Barcelona/Barcelona in the half-time/full-time market with a price of nearly evens- 10/11. ASTON VILLA VS BLACKBURN ROVERS
This is a massive Carling Cup clash for both sides here. William Hill has an incredible 177 different markets on this match and you can expect the betting volume on this fixture to be absolutely huge. These are two teams that would get lots of momentum for a really solid Cup run and a trophy in the cabinet would mean a successful season for both sides. You’ll find great prices on this match with Villa trading at 13/10 while Blackburn can be backed at a 13/8 margin. The draw pays out at 11/5 and that’s not a bad bet either, in my opinion. I will be siding with Villa in this one, they simply have more firepower, but if Blackburn can come out and make their physical presence felt then I think we could be in for a hell of a match. The half-time/full-time market is tremendously well-priced and you’ll find my favourite selection- draw/Villa listed at 5/1. Villa to dominate the match and win both halves is listed at 16/5.
