Latest Transfer Betting Round-Up Part 3
- By Allan Pederson on June 28, 2013 15:29 GMTReal Madrid are the only other side who are priced at a reasonable payout for Wayne Rooney to land there at any point during the summer transfer season. While it definitely came as a surprise to many footballing observers that Real would actually come in for him, it’s true that he would be a great pillar for rebuilding - especially at a club who have signed English players in the past.

With a chance that Real Madrid are still in hot pursuit of Gareth Bale, the promise of a Bale-Rooney partnership at Real would certainly excite English fans and lead to plenty of excitement going forward. Expect both deals to happen or neither.
Bayern Munich had once been touted as a logical destination for Rooney but the way it looks right now they are out of the reckoning with a 14/1 price tag being floated by William Hill.
Barcelona had also been linked with Rooney and they are 16/1 and look unlikely to do a deal. While that would be an interesting destination for Rooney, you get the feeling he would fit in at better clubs and you do have to question how much Barca have left in the tank for this summer after shelling out for Neymar.
Manchester City and Monaco both trade at 50/1 and look extremely unlikely destinations despite some of the things you may read on the back pages of the newspapers. A return to Everton would pay out at 80/1 while a move to Tottenham or Liverpool remains the most unlikely at 100/1.
