Laura Pearce wins £250,000 on Deal or No Deal
Laura Pearce, a 24-year-old Bureau Administrator in the Criminal Justice Department at Gloucestershire Constabulary, is the first person to win the £250,000 jackpot on the hit UK game show, Deal or No Deal. Laura, who sadly lost her mum when she was 13, played a courageous game and battled out to the end. It all paid off as she beat the banker to the highest extreme and walked from the show with the highest red on the score board. Round 1 started with box 7 opened by Sarah containing £1. This was followed by another blue, £10 and then three reds, £1000, £10,000 and £100,000. The Banker offered a reasonable £6000 - NO DEAL. Round two was more positive with two blues and a red - £500, £75,000 and £50. The offer leapt up to £11,000. Again, a firm NO DEAL. Round 3 knocked Laura's confidence a little as she opened 3 reds, including another part of the power five with £20,000, £35,000 and £15,000. With only two of the power five remaining, would Laura be tempted by the Banker's offer of £8,500? Absolutely not - NO DEAL.Next came the round that Laura needed - all blue! Box 10 opened by Andrew contained 50p. Next came box 15 opened by George containing £250. The final box 12 was opened by Nicola containing £5. The Banker's offer rose to £14,999. Not a penny more, not a penny less. Laura, on a high, went on with NO DEAL. Round 5 continued in the flawless fashion of the previous round as £100 and the dreaded 1p were knocked out. Then came a shocker as the penultimate of the power five went - the £50,000. This meant the only remaining member of the five was the almighty quarter million. With everything still to play for, Laura rejected the offer of £19,999 - NO DEAL!The last full round saw Laura eliminate £10, £5000 and £750. The two remaining amounts were £3000 and of course, £250,000. The offer came in at £45,000. NO DEAL. The swap was offered and sticking to her guns, Laura kept her original box, number 6. Joy swept round the entire studio as Laura opened the box containing the almighty quarter million and no one was happier than Laura herself - it couldn't have happened to a nicer girl!Play deal or no deal now live at LadbrokesGames
