League Cup Matchday Betting Tips PT 1

We’ve got another round of exciting English football action set to unfold today across Britain and Wales so there is plenty to like about today’s fixtures, not to mention the high-quality betting opportunities that we will see happening. In regards to the English Premier League, all the bigger sides seem to be playing tomorrow with the exception of Manchester City who take on beleaguered Sunderland in this face-off today. 

City were dealt their first loss of the season at the hands of West Ham United at the weekend and it’s going to be interesting to see how City respond to that and whether they can kick on and continue to move forward - acting as though it never really happened. 

The big issue though is the fact that they were also fairly soundly beaten by Juventus during their opening Champions League fixture last week as well - this would potentially be three losses on the trot for the Citizens and you have to wonder how they will be able to actually handle that. 

Looking at the odds, you’ll find City trading at a slim 4/7 price that some might actually think offers considerable value considering the absolute state that Sunderland have been in all season. With their manager Dick Advocaat (who is clearly a little too good for this job) now openly speculating about who will replace him you have to assume it’s certainly not exactly an particularly happy time to be in the dressing room at the Stadium of Light.
