LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS

This is more or less the deciding fixture of the season for many and anything less than a win for Carlo Ancelotti's men would be an absolute disaster. Much has been made by the managers involved, and Sir Alex Ferguson, about Liverpool's level of motivation for winning this one, but I have a feeling that this one shouldn't be a roll over for Chelsea.

Chelsea are considered odds on favourites to win this match by top UK bookmaker William Hill. The Blues are trading at a price of 5/6 and that's a fairly reasonable price, especially with Liverpool trading at 3/1. The draw can be backed at 11/4.
The favoured correct score line is a 1-1 draw at a 6/1 price tag. A 1-0 result to Chelsea is listed just behind that at 13/2 while 2-1 Chelsea sits at 7/1. Liverpool's best options look to be a 1-0 result at 10/1 or a 2-1 victory at an 11/1 price. A 2-2 draw is at 12/1 and I consider that a real possibility- especially if Liverpool score first.
Chelsea are odds-on to score the first goal with a 4/7 price while Liverpool are listed at 6/4. Liverpool are fancied to score in the match though, with Chelsea's odds to win to nil listed at 9/5 and they are also 11/8 to keep a clean sheet.
Didier Drogba is the only player listed at an odds-on price to score at anytime and he's at 10/11. Drogba is 7/2 to score first or last and 4/1 to hit two or more. Salomon Kalou is at 7/4 anytime while Nicolas Anelka is at 5/4 anytime and 5/1 to score first or last. Florent Malouda trades at 2/1.
Steven Gerrard is Liverpool's favoured goalscorer with a 15/8 anytime price. Dirk Kuyt will certainly factor into the equation and he's at a straight 2/1. If Yossi Benayoun gets a start he could certainly make a statement and he's listed at 4/1 anytime- that's a quality price.
Personally, I think that if Chelsea can score early this one will be pretty much done. I do think that if Liverpool keep it close that they could just edge this one. I think a penalty could have a decisive factor on this match. A penalty is priced at 12/5.
