Gareth Bale carries the shortest price to score in this match and he’s backed all the way down to 5/4 - an impressively short price considering his team aren’t favoured to win and he’s away from home. He is 5/1 to score first or last and 40/1 to grab what would be a very famous hat-trick. He is playing in front of the world stage in every match as a number of top clubs have been openly tracking him this season - every fixture an audition.
Luis Suarez is sort of on the opposite side of the coin with controversy seemingly following the Uruguayan wherever he winds up going. He is really the glue holding this Liverpool team together at the moment, and you can back him at an enticing 6/4 price to score against Spurs.
Daniel Sturridge could certainly use a goal right about now and he’s trading at 7/4 anytime while Steven Gerrard can be had at a 2/1 listing.
Clint Dempsey is well-priced for Spurs at 7/2 anytime and that’s a sharp bet if you see his name on the teamsheet.
Liverpool will have a plan already sorted out for this one but you have to wonder what happens when they go a goal down. Bale has a tendency to attack the weakest point in a defense so expect him to be wandering all over Liverpool’s back line early. A quick goal for Spurs changes the entire complexion of the game and you have to wonder about Liverpool’s ability to battle back from a deficit.
